February 2010 Prayer Update
Dear Praying Friends:
We serve an almighty, all-powerful God Who knows the end from the beginning, and every part of our lives in-between. I am very thankful that I can trust my Heavenly Father to work out His will and His way in my life at all times. This month God saw fit to raise my support level up to 74%. Thank you to all of you who have already been so faithful in praying and financially supporting my ministry. Thank you to the new churches and fellow servants of the Lord who have joined my support team this year. I am excited about the potential of returning to the Philippines in 2010!
My deputation travels commenced this month with a meeting in Duryea, Pennsylvania, on January 10. It was wonderful to fellowship with believers from Pennsylvania to Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. I have enjoyed sharing my ministry presentation, playing the piano, teaching ladies’ and children’s Sunday School, speaking at AWANA, sharing my testimony at a youth gathering, visiting nursing homes, and helping at a Christian school. Other activities (during the week), include studying Tagalog, preparing lessons and contacting pastors along with calming babies, exercising dogs, shoveling snow, playing Monopoly, and cooking Filipino adobo for the people I stay with. One thing I did not help with (but did watch) was skinning and cleaning coon hides.
I thank God for the many opportunities I have on deputation to be a blessing and to minister to others. Each individual has, in turn, been a blessing to me as well.
Please pray for the following requests:
1. Safety and good health as I drive long distances, especially as I head up north into snow country.
2. Wisdom as I continue working on my itinerary for 2010.
3. Financial support. My support level is currently at 74%!
4. Opportunities to witness; boldness to share the Gospel
5. Salvation: Leah, Sarah, Marilou, Christina, Mrs. Loyola, Catherina Bona, Marilyn
6. Spiritual growth/Church attendance: Angelita Hipolito, Marilyn Dayao
7. Ruth Potter: wisdom as she teaches in my place at BJMBC.
8. Comprehension as I continue studying the Tagalog language
