Dear Friends and Family,
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise Him,” Psalm 28:7. God has granted many blessings this past month. These blessings include safety in travel, provision for daily needs, an increase in my support from 9% to 23%, and the privilege of meeting new Christian friends. My brother has also started a website to help with my deputation. The web address is http://www.joleajensen.com/. I plan to occasionally post updates on this site.
I served as “Missionary of the Week” for VBS at Calvary Baptist Church in Loganville, GA from June 15-20. I enjoyed teaching the children about the Philippines and gave them some Tagalog songs to learn. A few children made decisions for the Lord during their Bible lesson time. It was a blessing to get to know the church family as I worked alongside them during the week.
While in GA, I learned that two young ladies have been accepted by GFA to teach at BJMBC during my absence. Please pray for Vanessa Marshall and Ruth Potter to be able to raise their support quickly, so they can go to the field by the end of July. School began June third, and the Bachoriks are in great need of help in the piano teaching area. I am thankful that these girls are willing and able to teach in my place while I travel on deputation. Please pray also that the Lord will provide, so I can return to the field by May 2009.
My support level is presently at 23%. The Lord is faithful, and He continues to provide as I travel. I recently drove from Georgia to New York, spreading the trip over three days. Once I barely missed being run over by a large black truck that came barreling around the corner on a country Virginia road. Thankfully, I heard his honking and was able to pick up my speed before he ran over me!

1. Safety as I drive long distances alone.

the Lord will lead me to the ministries that He wants me to go to.
