July 2010 Prayer Update

Dear Praying Friends:

“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature,” Mark 16:15. God commands us to share His gospel with people all over the world. That mission field includes not only overseas ministries but also our neighbors right here in America. I enjoy challenging young people to witness to their friends down their street, as this is their mission field right now. This month, a friend and I had the privilege of witnessing to a lady and seeing her pray the sinner’s prayer. Please pray for Cynthia to have true assurance of her salvation and to gain encouragement from God’s Word.

My deputation itinerary was not as full this month, so I enjoyed volunteering at Camp Joy in Whitewater, WI. I had the privilege of teaching during Leadership, Speech, and Music camp and directing the evening children’s ministry during Family Camp. It was a joy to work with the young people during both weeks. The children enjoyed learning songs in the Tagalog language and sang one for their parents on the final day of camp. Please pray for God’s blessing, as I will help again during Family Camp II from July 5-9. Please pray that any unsaved children will see their status as sinners and that Christ died on the cross to save them from their sin.

Along with working at camp, I have also had time to make more phone calls to pastors and to work on my lesson plans for the music education class I will teach when I return to the Philippines. Please pray that I will continue to use my time profitably this summer, and that God would provide more meetings with new churches, as He sees fit.

Please pray for the following requests:

1. Safety and good health as I drive long distances
2. Wisdom as I continue working on my itinerary for 2010.
3. Financial support. My support level is currently at 79%! Please pray that I might be able to return to my adopted country by October 2010, if God so wills.
4. Opportunities to witness; boldness to share the Gospel
5. Salvation: Dr. G in Peoria, IL
6. Ruth Potter: wisdom for a third year teaching at BJMBC
7. Comprehension as I continue studying the Tagalog language.

“As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: He is a buckler to all them that trust in Him. For who is God, save the LORD? And who is a rock, save our God? God is my strength and power: and He maketh my way perfect,” II Samuel 22:31-33. I continue trusting in God’s perfect plan for my life, claiming the promise in I Thess. 5:24, “Faithful is He that calleth you, who also will do it.” Thank you to each of you who continue to pray and financially support my ministry.

Joyfully serving our Savior,
Jolea Jensen
