October 2008 Prayer Letter
October 2008
Dear Family and Friends,
“Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God,” Psalm 90:2. My recent travels have brought me over many mountains of NY, VT, NH, NJ, and PA. From gales of wind from Hurricane Ike to rainy downpours, the Lord has protected me from accidents along the road. Thankfully, the “Bear Crossing” signs in VT were only warnings, and I did not meet live furry critters as I drove.
I enjoyed visiting three new churches this month. It was a blessing to share my missions presentation and Melodies of Joy concert at Charlestown Bible Church (Charlestown, NH), Calvary Baptist Church (West Collingswood Heights, NJ), and New Life Fellowship Baptist Church (East Stroudsburg, PA).
The Lord recently increased my support from 30% to 31%. Please pray with me as I present my ministry in more churches that the Lord will continue to provide for this important need. It is encouraging to see how He provides each step of the way. I am praying that He would allow me to return to the field by May 2009, so I can be available to teach at BJMBC for the 2009-2010 school year. The Filipino school year begins in June and continues through March.
My ministry in deputation ranges from passing out tracts to toll booth operators, participating in door-to-door witnessing, to giving advice in piano playing and washing dishes. Currently, that ministry has been expanded to helping my host family pick raspberries and then taking my hostess to the doctor after she stepped on a nail and had it puncture through the top of her foot! She is now on crutches, while I am trying to help around the house as much as I can.
I would like to thank each of you so much for your prayers and support for my ministry. I would appreciate specific prayers for health and safety as I travel many miles during October-November. Please pray also that the Lord would increase my burden for souls and provide witnessing opportunities as I travel.

1. Wisdom as I contact new churches for meetings. Please pray that the Lord will lead me to the ministries that He wants me to go to.

3. Spiritual growth/Church attendance: Angelita Hipolito, Marilyn Dayao
4. Vanessa and Ruth: They are teaching in my place while I travel in the States.
